Our Mission
Mom & Pops Giving Closet serves Durham’s homeless and at-risk poverty populations, including seniors, whom we affectionately refer to as our ‘STARs’. Our STARs represent individuals and families facing significant challenges such as homelessness, food insecurity, financial instability, and social isolation. Mom & Pops Giving Closet offers a continuum of services designed to address the immediate and long-term needs of individuals and families impacted by poverty.
